Did you know that 70%of the people in sierra leonean live under the poverty line. Most of the water in Sierra Leone comes from polluted sources like ponds and unprotected wells. The average life expectancy in sierra Leone is 56 years which is one of the lowest in the world. The rainy season in sierra Leone is about 6 months each year. Some chemicals can pollute surface waters. The government does not have the resources to distribute clean water to everybody not even the schools. They are currently working on a project called the water project.
