Festival of lights
I have chosen a festival called Diwali it is celebrated in india. Diwali is celebrated in between October and December and is also known as “Festival of Lights”, on this day everyone , especially Hindus, light up their houses with lights including candles and diyas. Festival Of The Lights is celebrated in honour of Lord Rama. He returned to his kingdom, Ayodhya, after spending 14 years in the forest. On this day, people dress themselves in their best outfit and take part in their family function. This day is celebrated in the mark of victory of good over bad.There is a tradition of worshiping Devi Lakshmi and Ganpati Deva on this day. It is done for securing peace, prosperity, wealth and happiness. If you could make up a festival what would it be?
Hi Calista, I really like the article that you put it in the link, and it looks like the festival is really interesting to write about! And did you saw my blogger? I wrote about a country, and it's festivals kind of like that! But the country is really small to compare it to India! It's in the south in the edge of India, and it's called Sri Lanka! I really like your work again, and I am really surprised when you said "Ayodhya spent 14 years in the forest", that's really weird to live in the forest, but the question is Why? Do you know why he spent 14 years in the forest? Well, good job it's really good!
ReplyDeleteIf I could make up my own festival it would be about the superwholock and during the festival people would get to meet Benedict Cumberbatch,Martin freeman,Jensen Ackles,Jared Padalecki,Misha Collins the archangel,Christopher Eccleston,David Tennant,Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi. You can look up all of these people if you don't already know who they are in which case i'm shunning you all because Sherlock,Doctor Who and Supernatural are all great shows and you should really watch them.
