Water in Africa

Water impacts the lives of Africans a huge amount. To be exact it impacts the lives of more than 300 million Africans.  75% of Africans rely on groundwater for their drinking water. Global warming is aggravating this situation a huge amount. It is even hard to get groundwater because only 15% of the water comes from groundwater. Some land zones are estimated to lose 50 metric tons of soil per year due to neglect. Many Africans would fight to just get water when we have all of the water in the world because we are surrounded by it. Do you agree with Africans getting little to no water, why or why not?

  1. This is absolutely horrible because the groundwater might not be clean and you can get really sick from this water and maybe terrible diseases. I learned from reading some things as more and more people migrate into cities from rural villages the pressure for the city to meet the water demands is ever increasing. I think okemos should do something to raise money to help all the people drinking bad water in Africa actually I found a sight to donate.

  2. I think it is terrible that the Africans get very little water due to global warming. Though, what makes me mad is that the U.s and other countries do nothing. We are watching kids in Africa die of thirst and hunger every year. We need to export water and supplies to help these people. Or someone could start a donation to help pay for water. Either way, we need to do something about this because we cant just cant watch all these people die.
